SuAnn was born and raised in Sarpy County and is a proud life-long Nebraskan. SuAnn began her career in education with Omaha Public Schools right after high school, working in managerial and support roles. There she managed a large team of staff, and bidded for and developed district-wide budgets for telecommunications and internet services, which totaled over $8 million. Her passion for public schools and education did not stop there. After over 35 years with OPS, SuAnn transitioned to the Nebraska Department of Education where she worked for 13 years as the State E-rate Coordinator and Rule 89 Program Manager overseeing the application process and management of state funds. Most District 14 residents will recognize SuAnn as the 2025 Board President of the Papillion La Vista School Board, where she has served as an elected member since 2018. Throughout her board career, SuAnn has voted to lower the property tax levy all 8 years to control local spending.
SuAnn Witt

Our state is too reliant on property taxes, which hurts everyone from our seniors to first-time home buyers. SuAnn believes that our families should be able to achieve the American dream of owning a home without the financial burden of constant increases in property taxes. SuAnn will use her skills in financial management to create a system that lowers costs and works for our middle-class.

Whether it's life-saving prescription drugs or a hospital visit, our families should be able to afford the care they need to take care of their loved ones. Our Legislature needs to increase options for affordable senior and disability care. SuAnn will work to lower the cost of healthcare and stand up for our patients.

SuAnn has managed large-scale budgets and has the experience to ensure we keep as much money in the taxpayer's pockets as possible. Our government should be a good steward of taxpayer dollars and SuAnn will work to cut unnecessary spending to resolve our budget crisis.
